if this takes off and does well, it would be nice to finally have Conan be associated in the mainstream outside of Ahnuld.

Honestly, Ahnuld’s image probably has done more bad than good for the franchise even if it is considered “classic”.

been reading my solomon kane book. it started off good but its all turning into “african jungle adventures” towards the middle.I’m waiting for the talking gorilla sidekick to show, its anoying me cause i liked the first african story or two, but the victorian type setting was better stuff. its okay ,but so far cormac mac art still my fave,( conan is my fave of course but these are of the other characters of howard ive read, looking for el borak, but hes hard to come across. gotta see if he’s in my copy of eons ofthe night) but i’ve reread a bran mak morn story or to as well , and he may beat cormac out .I get the sense howard really did lie these picts, as there’s more motivation in the writing. the bit with kull coming through time to help in the one story was kinda lame, though it’s fun to read him bitch out wulfhere.

I saw Solomon Kane in an actual movie theatre (went to london just to do it;) It was a good movie, and I really enjoyed it. The mood was perfect and the actors were great, together with some very hard core and grim scenes. But it was still not a movie that turned my world upside down, in some way it lacked that little extra to take it from good to perfect. And in my oppinion, Solomon Kane (the man) was not as cold and grim as I imagine Howards character (I do however admit I have not read that many Kane stories), but James Purefoy is so good at what he is doing, so it was not that hard to get over:)
Well at least it got my brother interrested in SK, and he soon after bought some kane stories.
