Roland Kickinger might play Conan? Or not?
The director has been chosen, Marcus Nispel will have some busy weeks going through the screenplay, requesting his personal adjustments and now that this part of the new Conan Movie has been ironed out, the rumours abound around the actor who might play our most favorite Conan the Cimmerian.
Announcements of Bulgarian broadcaster Avtora.com (here the american version of the rumour spreading) have suggested that Roland Kickinger has got the job to play Conan and will jump through the hills of Bulgaria soon. Nu Image has then quickly said no to this rumour and stated that he was not signed to do the job. Now here is the fine line, where it would be interesting to see the exact wording of the Nu Image statement.
Did they say “he will not” or “he is not” signed. Maybe Avtora.com has some sources that saw Kickinger in the studio of Avi Lerner in Bulgaria, which was a good hint the last time that Brett Ratner was in the talking, maybe they just made it up, but since the rumoured screenplay sounds like a Milius all over again (eeeevil wizard, family killed, eeeepic revenge), there is a hint that they also choose an actor that is the likeness of Arnold the Governator.
Fun times ahead, more rumours, more actors, more muscle and sweat and we will definitely sweat – out of angst? – with the actors that flex their body to get the part that made Arnold Schwarenegger famous.
